As a Children's Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (CPWP) working in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), I found it difficult to find many free resources aimed at supporting my therapeutic practice. I therefore began to create my own resources and, after receiving lots of positive feedback from colleagues and service users, I decided to make these resources available to others, too.
I am a qualified CPWP with a PGC in Low Intensity Therapies and an MSc in Psychology and I currently work supporting children and young people who are struggling with low mood/anxiety. I am also a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher (PGCE) and have a first class undergraduate degree in Education Studies with Psychology and Counselling. All of my resources are created based on my experience and knowledge of working with children, young people and families and I hope that other professionals find them useful and helpful in supporting the mental health of those who they work with.
WeHeartCBT is a collection of resources aimed at supporting children and young people who are struggling with low mood and/or anxiety related mental health difficulties. Resources are made for mental health professionals, schools and families and are evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies. These are evidence based interventions and use existing research as part of Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) and based on NICE guidelines.
